These images are usually pulled in a "like" series, although each one is unique. They are not a monotype, as there are strong relationships between the images and the intent of the exploration. A monotype is a "one of" print where the artist has literally painted a unique image, and pulled only one of it. At least, that is my understanding. As these prints are in series, I have labelled them monoprints.
